Pastor Dan's Birthday 061808

Thank God to give me a hand: thank God to give me a hand this morning while I was preparing the materials for “Pan’s Surprise Day!” Few days ago, I got an idea that I want to cook a dish, “Pork Leg with noodles” having auspicious meaning for Pdan's birthday.
In early morning I went to Farley 196, and then, I quickly cooked and prepared. Around 8:30am, through the window, I all of sudden saw Pdan walked toward F. 196 kitchen from F. 184. I urgently bent down hid behind the thrash can against the window. I was so nervous, and the knife still held on my right hand. I thought, “Oh! No way, I can not let Pdan see me or it is hard for me to explain anything. What I can do..” I immediately prayed, “Lord, please give me a hand. Please do not allow Pdan to close to F. 196, especially F196 kitchen as I am preparing right now…I trust in You. Please give me a hand. Thank you. Amen.” Then, I stood up and then, I found Pdan did not come into F. 196. He pulled the bench under the “fruit tree” located in the middle of the garage of F 184 and F. 196 as I observed him from the window at F. 196. He stood on the bench and started to pick up the fruit. I thought, “Thanks God, thank the prayer answer. Pdan is picking fruit… and on the other hand, my Lord, hope Pdan do not fall. That’s dangerous standing on the bench by himself.”

Perhaps the tree was too high to get it. He gave up and got nothing, and turned back F. 184. I was released, and quickly cleaned and finished details.
Being happy to leave, I saw one of sisters who drove the car into Farley was staff in Canaan office. I thought, “Oh, no I can not let her see me as well. Or she will start to talk with me.” Thus, “Lord, give me a hand again. I really need to leave from here.” So, crossed the shortest fence (very very very small and safe part), which was next to 196. I thought, “The director of “Jumper” should have asked me to be actor.” Then, I thanked God and walked toward to bus stop. While going to get to bus stop, I saw the bus behind me, and then, I started to run; Luckily, the bus stopped with horn as the driver saw me run. So, I turned back and got into the bus with thanks. Then, I felt thing was lucky and “The timing is perfect. God, thank you! Today is good day because of you.”

Well, just shared a piece of “interesting morning” with you. Hope you have a good day!

Oh, yeah.. by the way, Eon, if you see books "Unbelieve Battle" and "Elijah" on the refrigerator, please do not surprise as you are going to put the cake on Farley of 196 tonight because I was too rush to leave this morning... Oh, my word, I treat Elijah too harsh..

God bless you!

See you tonight!

061108 Special Prayer Meeting Night- Helen & Me

It is a special W’s night 061108 to Helen & Me.
When I received the Allctcc email this afternoon, I felt there was a calling. However, I did not know what to do because I had 3 experiments tonight, and I did not have a ride at that moment even though I really wanted to show up tonight. So, I told God, “ I really want to see you and want to pray tonight. I know it is important night. How can I get there.” Then, while I was in 2118 lab of scientific center, I felt the calling did not go and continually knock my heart. Besides, the calling was too strong for my physical to control so I even used pencil to stick my skin on the left hand twice and tried to “calm down" during the lecture. I felt, “I have to go to church tonight or I can not concentrate on doing any experiment at lab.”

A struggling of mine was how could I get to church and the last bus was at 6:20 pm. It was gone as I saw the clock on the wall.

At 6:25pm, I immediately asked Helen, who is my partner at Microbio 26 this quarter is Christian. I told her, “I want to go to prayer meeting tonight and would you please give me a ride?” She said, “It is very important tonight? Summer, your request is really surprised to me.” She kept asking “What the meaning of prayer meeting!” I explained a little bit briefly. Next, she did not have second thoughts saying, “God is priority! Let’s go.” I told her, “Just a moment and we need to let Dr. O’Brien know.” Then, we handed our assignment and then, I told Dr. O’Brien, “I have a personal emergency. We will come back to finish our experiment tonight,”

While we were on the way to Farly, I felt my heart did not lift up and down any more instead of peace. I may know, “Yes, I’m in a certain way. Thank God!” I shared Helen, “I trust in the Lord. Remember Jesus died for our sin and he can let dead people rise up. Everything can be changed. He is Truth. I believe our decision is not wrong. I also know we will finish our lab. We do not need to worry. It is a calling.” She just simple answered me, “God is priority, and we can not rely on ourselves in the world.”

We got church around 6: 45pm, and Helen really liked our church as I showed her around. She was excited to tell me, “Can I attend your church? I feel I am beginner because I turn away from God for 2 years. I want to know and close him more.” I smiled to her only.

Due to the time in early, we went to Farly 184 and took two chairs and knelt down and sang 3 praise songs and prayed together until 7:45pm.

As praying at Farly 184, Helen felt she needed to come back God’s side and she also shared with me that she got healed as we prayed together last Wednesday’s night at school. “That’s awesome!” I thought. Thus, we continually thanked God!

At Sanctuary, all of sudden Helen told me, “I feel peaceful, and I do not want to leave from here and I want to stay here.” I said, “Let’s pray…” Besides, we started to pray for tonight’s point –“building project” with “focus on focus” as if we were in lab.

However, we still had to finish lab; therefore, we left Sanctuary and drove back scientific center at school. The time was 8:45pm. We ran into lab and everyone started to do experiment 34.
Specially, I did not know what happened was because few people started to help us. Helen and I smoothly finished 3 experiments at lab although we were last team check-off around 10:00pm. And, Dr. O’Brien told us, “You guys pick it up.” Helen said, “Tonight is miracle.” As for me, I just felt the time went fast for tonight. God did everything@_@

Both of us took a break at parking lot. I asked her, “Aren’t you afraid if I lie to you as I asked you to give me a ride to church?” She replied, “No, I am not afraid because I am driver.” I laughed. She said, “God is watching everything…” I laughed again.

Thank God! “You are awesome! It is a special night! May your will be done!” (2 Chronicles 2,3,4,5,6,7) The greatness and glory and power and splendor ….for everything in heaven and earth are all Yours… Thanks Lord! Praise Your name @_@

It was a special and wonderful night!

God bless you all !

Bible Studying-Jasmine 061008

Tuesday afternoon,Jasmine and I had a good fellowship during lunch time and then, we also kept our Bible Studying Schedule on Chapter John in addition to reviewing Mathew 7:7 (ASK) and Psalm 5 as closedJasmine .

What I learned from Jesus?

Firstly, as I interacted with Jasmine, the Scripture showed that “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self –control.” (Galatians 5:22) at my mind. That means may my deed or life through Christ's teaching be influent to her so that she can feel God’s love and caring. May God increase my faith in Him and give me a soft heart to face different questions as she asked.

Second, did I feel tired/lazy? Yes, when the weather was hot yesterday, basically, I wanted to cancel the lunch meeting with her and postponed because I did not want to go out instead of staying at library. However, what Jesus said to me is “Come to me! My yoke is light-29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heat, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” ( Mathew 11: 29-30)

Third, use your spiritual girt: Always gives her feedback with encouragement. For example, I taught her how to pray with Scripture “Mathew 7:7”. In the process, she did not know how to close in praying. It was necessary to encourage her such as “Yes, your praying is beautiful and good. God is listening right now….Ask, seek, knock.. ” She was happy and wanted to share with her husband….

Finally, I think if I decided not to go to meet her, she could not have had a chance to know God’s words. If I decided not to go to meet her, she could not have known how to pray. If I did not go out to meet her, she would not have known “Who is Jesus Christ?” as she asked “Mathew 1:26-27”

Interestingly, when we studied Bible, the unborn baby was listening I think...

In a long run: I am keeping praying for her and her husband and baby before God because thing is not who I am but what He done and who He is. It is about Jesus Christ!

Fun night in CSJ 06068

"8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance 10 (and for this we labor and strive),that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe. 11. Command and teach these things. 12. Don't let anyone look down on your because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 13. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given your through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. 15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do,you will save both yourself and your hearers. (1 Timothy4:8-15)

Visit Ruth

Thank God! I have gained very much from Pastor Dan and Charlene through Jesus Christ. I understood "Caring is not easy." Without God's grace and compassion and love, it is hard to rely on ourselves.

"I am legion!" Scripture Reading Luke 8:26-39

“I am legion!” Luke 8:26-38
Intro: Do you feel a spiritual battle in your life?
I. We see the calamity of the demon-possessed man v.26-29
“…he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!”
-Who lives like that anyway?
-Is he mentally ill or demon-possessed?
-Do you know who Jesus is?
-Real spiritual battle: Eph. 6: 12

II. We see the compassion of Jesus commands. V. 30-33
“…For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man… Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him. And they begged him repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss…When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.”
-Jesus deeply cared for the man.
-Jesus asked his name. “legion”-sodilor
What about those pigs?

III. We see the people’s rejection: _______________. V.34-37
“…the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid… Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left.”
-The people were afraid.
-The people didn’t want what Jesus brings.
-How about you? Jesus is knocking…will you ask Him to stay?

IV. We see the man’s reaction: He becomes the witness. V. 38-39
“The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.”
-He wanted to follow Jesus wherever He goes.
-He was given a new heart (v.38)
-He was given a new purpose (v.39)
-How about you? What do you do with this story?
-Will you ask Him…?
-Go and tell others how much Jesus had done for you!
