Bible Studying-Jasmine 061008
Tuesday afternoon,Jasmine and I had a good fellowship during lunch time and then, we also kept our Bible Studying Schedule on Chapter John in addition to reviewing Mathew 7:7 (ASK) and Psalm 5 as closedJasmine .
What I learned from Jesus?
Firstly, as I interacted with Jasmine, the Scripture showed that “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self –control.” (Galatians 5:22) at my mind. That means may my deed or life through Christ's teaching be influent to her so that she can feel God’s love and caring. May God increase my faith in Him and give me a soft heart to face different questions as she asked.
Second, did I feel tired/lazy? Yes, when the weather was hot yesterday, basically, I wanted to cancel the lunch meeting with her and postponed because I did not want to go out instead of staying at library. However, what Jesus said to me is “Come to me! My yoke is light-29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heat, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” ( Mathew 11: 29-30)
Third, use your spiritual girt: Always gives her feedback with encouragement. For example, I taught her how to pray with Scripture “Mathew 7:7”. In the process, she did not know how to close in praying. It was necessary to encourage her such as “Yes, your praying is beautiful and good. God is listening right now….Ask, seek, knock.. ” She was happy and wanted to share with her husband….
Finally, I think if I decided not to go to meet her, she could not have had a chance to know God’s words. If I decided not to go to meet her, she could not have known how to pray. If I did not go out to meet her, she would not have known “Who is Jesus Christ?” as she asked “Mathew 1:26-27”
Interestingly, when we studied Bible, the unborn baby was listening I think...
In a long run: I am keeping praying for her and her husband and baby before God because thing is not who I am but what He done and who He is. It is about Jesus Christ!
