Specail July 04. Part 2

Pray for Alex Park’s baptized:

Alex Park is new visitor was brought by Pdan to attend last Sunday Worship(0629). I want to pray for her baptized.

Firstly, thank God through Ion and Melody’s hospitality, they invited me and Alex and other friends to celebrate the July of 4th at their house. Through this opportunity, I had a chance to talk with Alex who can speak Korean and Chinese. Through the conversation, by God’s grace, I have a chance to ask her about church in the past. Next, she begins to share and then….Melody and @_@ start to experience how God works on her life.

1. Did you go to church as you were in China?
When I was in China, people used to ask me to know Jesus. At that moment, one of sister used to care for and preach me for 4 years. I did not believe and no baptize. Besides, an old woman, 70 years used to help me every day as I got sick lived in dormitory at school. So, I went to church for her not for God. Meanwhile, I knew God but I did not know Jesus Christ as I went to Church. I think I went to church just for fun as I was in China.

2. Did you baptize?
No, I do not baptize.

3. How do you experience God?
Six months ago, I arrived at L. A. I did not have friends. I took taxi and asked driver to bring to Korean town and as I was in Korean town, I randomly grabbed someone to tell me where the Korean church. At that moment, I prayed for help. God helped me to find a Korean church. At that church, Pastor helped me live with a couple. After two weeks, I felt I could not bother them any more. I started to ask God for helping again. When I wondered walking on the street, I ran into a female pastor who helped me after several months. I began to experience God’s amazing grace as I was in tough time. Next, I came to San Jose from L.A, but the same problems happened again. I asked taxi driver to take her to motel at San Jose. Then, I prayed to God for helping with my tears over and over. Specially, I ran into a woman who was Korean spread fly was minister on the street. I told her problem. The Korean minister helped her find a church kindly. In that church, I experienced how God help me through Pastor in living and job (Now she works on Cosmetic company). I experienced lots God’s helping and grace especially as I prayed.
Due to God’s grace and love richly, I consecutively studies Bible and praying by my own. I finish the whole bible and often pray to the LORD 3-4 hours each day. I often experiences the Spirit within me the tears as I do pray and study Bible.
Finally, I feel God makes me strong than before if thing come up again. The reason is she said, “I have God. I do not need to fear.”

4. How do you know Canaan?
Pdan and Charlene. However, the important reason is previous church does not accept people who can not speak English in their English Congregation. That’s why I come to Canaan. I want to learn English.

5. What are you doing right now?
I am going to re-study Bible again (2nd) and keep praying.
I think in the past I just want to work in here but right now I think the entire life is on God’s hand different from before what my thought is because God will lead me and help me how to do it in the long run.

6. Do you know what the meaning of sin?
Basically, I did not recognize “I am a sinner.” However, every time as I pray, I sense the Holy Spirit to let me recognize the “Sin.” The tear may come out.

7. Do you know how to reconcile with our relationship with God?
No, I do not know how to reconcile our relationship with God. Melody and @_@ start to explain to her at dinner table. Thank God through Melody’s reminding of “Sin separates our relationship with God.” Thus, only through Jesus Christ’s redemption, we can reconcile our relationship with God.

8. Do you know what the wage of sin is?
Three of us read the Romans6: 23 together.
“23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

She said “Every time I feel sad and hurt, as every time I think the nails penetrate Jesus hands during the praying.”

9. Do you accept Jesus Christ is your savior? He is the Only can save your life/sin to give you eternal life. ? Do you believe Jesus who will come back? Importantly, do you confess your sin?
Yes, Yes, Yes. I accept Jesus Christ.

10. After you read the whole Bible, which book is your favorite?

I like Romans, but my favorite is Proverbs I read many times. I think through Proverbs, I can see His truth which reacts people’s dark side in this society. We have to rely on Him. Besides, I also understand I can be His noble clay (1 Peter) if I keep studying His words.

11. What’s your prayer request?
My prayer request is I hope God can provide an English environment to me through job or other areas because I talk too much in Korean. I want to learn English.

12. Can I invite to baptize? Are you ready?
Yes! @_@ said to her, “We will pray for your baptize and would you please pray for your heart to be ready on that day as well.” Her response is “Yes.”

Would you please pray for Alex Park’s salvation and baptizing?
